We are happy to share our reflections on the recent Business Central Tech Days 2024, an event attended by Q-Team Solutions a few weeks ago in Antwerp. This two-day conference brought together developers, business owners, and enthusiasts who are passionate about Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, making a significant influence in the community’s journey towards innovation and growth.

Highlights from BC Tech Days 2024:

A significant focus of the conference was Microsoft’s Copilot, with sessions highlighting its integration with Business Central and discussing new developments. Several topics covered included:

Chatting with Copilot

Dynamics 365 Copilot revolutionizes interaction with Business Central by enabling users to communicate with the system using natural language, providing easier data retrieval and task completion. Initially in preview, Copilot allows users to quickly locate data, receive guidance on Business Central concepts, and more, all while ensuring data privacy and security.

Creating Power Automate flows with Copilot

Introduction to an AI-powered assistant for Power Automate. Its aim to automate the creation of flows by enabling users to build them with just language inputs. This integration makes the whole process easier by leveraging Copilot’s conversational interface for guidance and support.

Creating sales query in Business Central

Increasing the speed of the creation of sales documents and minimizing repetitive tasks with a help of AI assistant. Now Copilot will support various input methods, additionally free text and files, to process and generate sales lines. This change will enormously influence and enhance operational efficiency that will lead to a faster delivering of sales queries to customers.

Enhancements in Developer Tools

Enable users to incorporate AI into their extensions, offering improved UI elements, an AI module for Azure connectivity, and resources like guides and samples. The 2024 release introduces also improvements such as customizable prompt dialogs for more clear instructions Copilot actions. Additionally, it comes with better AI function calls and accuracy in token counts, to enrich the development experience and results.

So far, these updates are available in English version only but Microsoft plans to make them available them available in different language versions as well and expand it geographically in the nearest future.
